"She wants to go kill people unnecessarily": Trump defends seemingly suggesting Liz Cheney should face a firing squad.

Donald Trump on Friday defended his violent rhetoric, when he seemingly suggested former Rep. Liz Cheney should face a firing squad.

"[Liz Cheney] wants to go kill people unnecessarily, and if she had to do it herself and she had to face the consequences of battle, she wouldn't be doing it," Trump said at a campaign stop in Dearborn, Michigan.

"So, it's easy for her to talk, but she wouldn't be doing it," the former president said. "She's actually a disgrace."

Trump's response comes after the Republican nominee for president called Cheney a "radical war hawk" and suggested she should be fired upon during a Thursday night campaign stop in Arizona with right-wing political commentator Tucker Carlson.

Cheney, who endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president and is a fierce critic of Trump, reacted, "This is how dictators destroy free nations.”

Earlier on Friday, the vice president rebuked Trump's violent remarks, deeming them "disqualifying" to be president of the United States of America.
