President Joe Biden on Wednesday evening playfully mimed biting several babies who were in costume, including one dressed as a chicken, as he and First Lady Jill Biden met with trick-or-treaters at the White House.
The playful interactions came as the White House welcomed local area students, children of military service members, and neighborhood families for trick-or-treating ahead of Halloween, as part of an annual tradition. The former Democratic presidential candidate even bit one baby as the theme song for “Jaws” began to play at the event.
Some ring-wing commentators were not amused, though:
“President Trump is mingling with garbagemen at his rally in Wisconsin,” commentator Nick Sorter posted on Twitter/X. “Meanwhile, Joe Biden is literally BITING BABIES at the White House Halloween Party. WTF IS THIS TIMELINE?”
Meanwhile, the first lady, known for her colorful Halloween costumes, celebrated the holiday early by dressing up as a panda.
Wednesday marked the Bidens' final time hosting the trick-or-treat event, with the president having just over 80 days left in office.
