Fox News host Jesse Watters on Wednesday said he would divorce his wife if she secretly voted for Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election.
“If I found out Emma was going to the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an affair," Watters said, speaking about his wife Emma DiGiovine.
Watters added his take in response to a pro-Harris-Walz ad narrated by actor Julia Roberts that advocates for women to vote for Harris despite their husbands voting for Republican candidate Donald Trump.
The other Fox News panelists voiced a range of reactions from encouragement to skepticism.
"That violates the sanctity of our marriage," "The Five" host said. "What else is she keeping from me? What else has she been lying about?"
"Why would she do that and then vote Harris?" Watters posed. "Why would she say she was voting Trump and then voting Harris? And then I caught her and then she said, I lied to you for the last four years."
“It’s over, Emma,” Watters said, apparently humorously. “That would be D-Day!”
