Donald Trump on Thursday suggested that former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney should face a firing squad and have guns “trained on her face.”
“I don't blame [Dick Cheney] for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb. She's a radical war hawk,” Trump said in a conversation with right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson at a hurricane relief benefit in Glendale, Arizona. “Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let's see how she feels about it.”
It was some of Trump's most violent language yet. Cheney, one of his biggest Republican critics, recently endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Trump called Harris a “sleazeball” and President Joe Biden a “stupid bastard.”
“They're all war hawks when they're sitting in Washington in a nice building, saying, oh, gee, we'll, let's send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy. But [Cheney’s] a stupid person,” Trump said. “She always wanted to go to war with people.”
