"I ... suffer from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome.' I think he is a threat to democracy": Charlamagne tha God on Fox News.

“The Breakfast Club” radio host Charlamagne tha God went on Fox News on Tuesday to express his fears about Donald Trump's autocratic tendencies.

“Let the record show I totally agree with Robert De Niro. I am one of those people that suffer from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome,'” Charlamagne said, referring to Trump attacking De Niro on social media and saying he suffered from the “syndrome” after he criticized Trump outside his criminal trial in New York.

“I think he is a threat to democracy. I think that he led an attempted coup in his country,” Charlamagne continued. “He said he wanted to suspend the Constitution to overthrow the results of an election. At the least, that's just not a patriotic thing to say.”

“I don't believe that,” Fox News’ host Greg Gutfeld said.

“He absolutely said that,” Charlamagne shot back.

“I will look that up,” Gutfeld said.

“He did,” Charlamagne responded.

“He wanted to suspend the Constitution?” Gutfeld asked.

“He said we should suspend the Constitution to overthrow the results of an election. He said it on Truth Social, then said he didn't say it,” Charlamagne continued. “So, I read ‘Project 2025.’ I'm one of those guys that's like, I don't know if he would necessarily leave. I hope he does.”
