Walz suggests people who sign Musk's 1st Amendment PAC petition collect the $1 million and then vote for him and Harris.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz on Monday agreed with a suggestion that Americans who win sweepstakes as part of an Elon Musk election petition should take the money and vote for him and Kamala Harris anyway.

“There's nothing that can stop people from signing the petition, getting the million bucks, and then voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” Ana Navarro, one of the co-hosts of “The View,” said during an interview with the Minnesota governor.

“Do that,” Walz said, with a laugh.

Musk this weekend began offering $1 million a day until Election Day as part of sweepstakes for people who sign his PAC petition that backs the First and Second Amendments. He gave out checks to two people as part of the pledge, which is seen as a way to boost turnout for Donald Trump. The petition is raising legal concerns, however. Election experts say it is illegal to require someone to be registered to vote in order to be eligible for a monetary award, as is the case with Musk’s contest.
