Taylor Swift acknowledges four of the directors nominated in the Video of the Year category are women at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
During her acceptance speech for winning Video of the Year for the third time at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, this is what Taylor had to say to the audience: “For and I just want to say, I'm so heartened by the fact that for the first time in Video Music Awards history four of the directors. Nominated in the Video of the Year category are women.”
Taylor Swift is the first artist in Video Music Award history to take home an award for a Video of the Year for the third time. Her other two music videos are “Bad Blood” and You Need to Calm Down.” Taylor mentioned that if granted this award she promised to make an announcement: drop new music this year on October 21st!
