Donald Trump on Wednesday appeared at his Green Bay, Wisconsin, campaign rally dressed as a sanitation worker following President Joe Biden's "garbage" gaffe.
Trump wore the orange and yellow safety vest one day after Biden appeared to insult Trump supporters as "garbage." The Republican candidate for president also rode in a garbage truck prior to the campaign rally.
Biden later clarified on social media that he was referring to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's racist joke during the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden last Sunday. The White House said that the president's comments were taken "out of context."
In Green Bay, Trump also reiterated his promise to be a protector for women, but stoked controversy when he added, “I’m gonna do it whether the women like it or not.”
Also, at the rally in Green Bay, former Packers quarterback Brett Favre spoke to the audience of Trump supporters and said, "The United States of America won with [Trump's] leadership."
