Biden attacked his predecessor former President Donald Trump while addressing inflation at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers International Convention in Chicago today.

He coined a new nickname for the president “MAGA King” a reference to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan.

“Under my predecessor, the great MAGA King - the deficit increased every single year he was president,” he said.

Biden went on to contrast the deficit reductions during his tenure and that of the former president’s term. He said that the federal deficit was reduced by $350 billion in the first year of his presidency and this year the government is on track to cut the federal deficit by another 1 trillion and 500 billion dollars – the biggest declining debt in the history of America.

Biden claimed that the Republicans were not trying to lower the cost but trying to raise the taxes, hinting at Senator Rick Scott’s 11-point tax plan that he released in February this year.

The criticism against his predecessor and the Republicans show that he is gearing up for the midterm elections due in six months.
