“I want him to do whatever he decides to do”: Nancy Pelosi, when asked whether Joe Biden's has her support to run.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday declined to endorse President Joe Biden's candidacy, as several Democrats call for him to step down and more express concerns.

"Does he have your support to be the head of the Democrat ticket as long as the president had the present?" MSNBC’s Jonathan Lemire asked the California Democrat in an interview on the show "Morning Joe."

“It’s up to the president to decide if he’s going to run," Pelosi said. "We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short.”

“I think overwhelming support of the caucus — it's not for me to say, I'm not the head of the caucus anymore, but he's beloved, he is respected, and people want him to make that decision,” Pelosi added.

But Lemire pushed Pelosi, noting that Biden was adamant that he was not going anywhere.

“He has said he has made the decision. He has said firmly this week, he is going to run," Lemire said. "Do you want him to run?"

“I want him to do whatever he decides to do,” Pelosi responded.

On Tuesday, Rep. Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey was the seventh House Democrat to call on Biden to step down, and Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado became the first Democratic senator to publicly predict Biden will lose the presidential election to Donald Trump.
