Gov. Ron DeSantis' (R-FL) gives cheeky response when asked about sending migrants on planes to Martha’s Vineyard.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) gave a cheeky response when asked about sending migrants on planes to Martha’s Vineyard. Early today, two planes full of 50 migrants from Venezuela arrived in the small island town of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. This is the continuation of a string of media stunts by Republican governors in Southern states sending buses and planes of undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities in Northern states. This act is due to the fighting over border legislation and unfortunately puts these migrants in between political stunts. The authorities in Martha’s Vineyard were not notified and unaware of the migrants’ arrival.

DESANTIS: “Yes, if you have folks that are inclined to think Florida is a good place, our message to them is we are not a sanctuary state and it's better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction. And yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures.”
