Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz on Tuesday joked that Elon Musk is Trump's real "running mate," and mocked him for jumping "like a dipshit" on stage with Donald Trump earlier this month.
"I'm going to talk about his running mate," Walz said during a campaign rally in Wisconsin. "His running mate Elon Musk."
"Look, Elon's on that stage, jumping around, skipping like a dipshit on these things," the Minnesota governor said. "You know it."
During a Trump rally October 7 in Butler, Pennsylvania, the billionaire and "X" owner surprised the crowd with his appearance at the event and excitedly jumped around on stage. Musk has increasingly thrown his influence and financial resources to elect Trump during the 2024 election cycle.
"That guy is literally the richest man in the world, spending millions of dollars to help Donald Trump buy an election," Walz concluded.
Walz during his speech also criticized Trump's VP running mate, JD Vance, for his election denialism:
"Where is Sen. Vance after he got asked the simplest question in the world at the debate: 'Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?'" Walz asked.
"And after two weeks, he finally said, 'No, he didn't,'" Walz said. "That's where he's been spending his time."
