Disney Isn’t The “Happiest Place On Earth” For Ron DeSantis
The Florida State Legislature has passed a bill that would dissolve Walt Disney World’s private government. The legislation would dismantle Disney’s special tax status that allowed the company to self-govern its park complex. This effort to dissolve Disney’s private government comes after company leaders criticized Florida's “Don’t Say Gay” law, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis publicly excoriated Disney.
