Conservative political commentator Megyn Kelly on Monday night called out businessman Mark Cuban for saying Donald Trump does not surround himself with “strong, intelligent women.”
“Here I am, at a Trump rally, a strong, intelligent woman, to prove Mark Cuban wrong again,” Kelly said on stage with Trump in Pittsburgh at his penultimate 2024 presidential campaign rally.
Kelly ripped Cuban's comments last Thursday, when he was asked on “The View” about Trump not deploying former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley as a campaign surrogate:
“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them,” the former Dallas Mavericks principal owner said. “Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”
Cuban later apologized for his remarks, saying he knows many strong, intelligent women who are voting for Trump and saying he was not referring to Trump voters, supporters, or employees.
