The January 6th Committee played audio of former Trump adviser Steve Bannon speaking to associates from China before the election about the plan for Trump to claim the election was stolen.
LOFGREN: “Just a few days before the election, Steve Bannon, a former Trump Chief White House strategist and outside advisor to President Trump, spoke to a group of his associates from China and said this:
BANNON: ““And what Trump is going to do is just declare victory, right? He's gonna declare victory, but that doesn't mean he's the winner, he’s just going to say he’s the winner. The Democrats, more of our people vote early that count, they vote in mail and so they're going to have a natural disadvantage and Trump's going to take advantage of, that's our strategies in terms of one or so when you wake up Wednesday morning, it's going to be a firestone. Also, also, if Trump, if Trump is losing By 10:00, 11:00 at night, it's going to be even crazier. Because he’s going to sit right there and say they stole it. Yeah, I'm directing the Attorney General to shut down all ballot places in all 50 states. It's gonna be no, he's not going out easy. If Biden's winning, Trump is going to do some crazy shit.””
