World Leaders Return to Davos

For the first time since 2020, world leaders, power players, and celebrities will gather in person in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting from May 22-26, 2022. The conference – commonly referred to as “Davos” – was originally scheduled for January 2022, but was postponed to the spring due to the uncertainty of the emergence of Omicron. On the agenda this year are topics such as pandemic recovery, the future of work, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and climate change. Geopolitical and geo-economic tension is also expected to be a major topic, with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivering a virtual address amid the backdrop of Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.

Over 2,000 conference attendees at Davos will participate in sessions and panels that center around eight key themes: climate and nature; fairer economies; tech and innovation; jobs and skills; better business; health and healthcare; global cooperation; and society and equity. And new this year at Davos is the unofficial “Medical Psychedelic House of Davos” program where attendees can learn about responsible medical use of psychedelics.
