Warriors star Draymond Green says Chris Russo's comments about him of First Take had "racist undertones."

Draymond Green, the Golden State Warriors , opened up about Chris Russo’s comment regarding him on ESPN’s First Take this week.

On Wednesday’s episode of First Take, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, asked the National Basketball Association sharpshooter to “shut up and play”.

Russo, the veteran radio host, joined Stephen A. Smith on First Take to discuss the National Basketball Association playoffs. He criticized the Warriors player Green for expressing his feeling about the game during their game with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The comment did not go down well with his fellow commentator former basketball player J.J. Redick who claimed that Fox News talks about athletes in such a way.

Green expressed his feeling about the episode saying that though he does not like to talk about race and discrimination, “but that definitely had a very racist connotation,” he said. “And, even beyond it being having the racist undertone, we don't need to go any further than Who are you?”

Russo claimed earlier that his comment was not about race or politics.
