Attorney General Pam Bondi on Sunday warned Rep. Jasmine Crockett to "tread very carefully" after her criticism of Tesla.
"On March 29, it's my birthday," Crockett said on a “Tesla Takedown” call, which was organizing a day of Tesla protests on that date. "All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down."
"Obviously, everything that I am promoting is nonviolent," Crockett added on the call.
Bondi latched onto Crockett's comments and warned the congresswoman to watch what she says about Elon Musk.
"Now, you have this congresswoman, Crockett, who is calling for attacks on Elon Musk on her birthday," Bondi started during an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures" program.
"'Let's take him out on my birthday,' she says.""Yet she turns and says, 'Oh, I'm not calling for violence,'" Bondi continued. "Well, she is an elected public official, and so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk."
"I participated in a Tesla Takedown,'" Crockett responded on MSNBC. "That is the name of the website. And it was all about this large protest that they're calling for. And this is a nonviolent protest that they're calling for."
"I've also never made excuse for those violent actors, such as the ones on January 6th," Crockett later said. "So, Pam Bondi, if you have an issue with terrorism, maybe you should talk to your boss about locking back up those guys that he let out that participated in January 6th."
