"They gotta settle the strike": President Biden responds to a question about the Israeli strikes in Yemen.

President Joe Biden on Sunday responded to a question on the Israeli strikes on Yemen, prompting criticism from conservatives on social media.

"Any comment on the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President?" a reporter asked Biden at Dover Air Force Base before he boarded Air Force One.

The Israeli military said that it bombed Iranian-backed Houthi fighters in Yemen on Sunday in response to Houthi-attacks against Israel. The Houthis had fired missiles into central Israel, causing no direct injuries but sounding sirens in Israel. The IDF strikes over the weekend also demonstrate Israel widening its attacks on targets in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen.

"I've spoken to both sides," Biden said. "They gotta settle the strike."

"I'm supporting the collective bargaining effort," the president continued. "I think they'll settle the strike."

It's not clear whether Biden heard the question properly or whether he was responding to the looming East Coast port strike.

On social media, conservatives buzzed about the president, including criticism for his apparent confusion between the two issues, questioning whether Biden is "functional" and attacking him as "cooked."
