"There's been no cover-up": Jean-Pierre responds to Fox News on who in the WH covered up "a declining president."

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday shut down a question from Fox News on who in the Biden administration covered up "a declining president."

"It would seem that people in this White House knew that President Biden was slipping," Fox News' Peter Doocy said. "[A]nd it was hidden from the American people. So, who ordered White House officials to cover up a declining president?"

"I know that that is a narrative that you love to —" Jean-Pierre started. "No, no, no, no, wait. Hold on."

"He did a press conference at NATO," Doocy interrupted. "I'm in it. There's all these things that I need to finish. And then 10 days later, I'm dropping out," he added, paraphrasing the sentiment he said Biden gave.

"First of all, there's been no cover-up," Jean-Pierre said. "I want to be very clear about that."

"I've been with President Biden for five years," Doocy said.

Jean-Pierre later added that Biden would address many questions during his speech to the nation later that evening.

"I think it's going to be incredibly powerful and important," the White House press secretary said. "Presidents, as you know, when they make speeches from the Oval Office, it's because there are important moments that they want to directly make sure that the American people hear from them."

"It is not easy, making a decision that the president made on Sunday," Jean-Pierre added.

"The fact that he was able to make that decision in a selfless way, that's admirable," Jean-Pierre later said.
