"She's Evita," "fake," and has a "good spark": Trump talks to Adin Ross about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Donald Trump on Monday called Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez "Evita" and "fake," and said she has a "good spark" during a livestream with right-wing online personality Adin Ross.

"Fake, but in all fairness, look, but she knows it," Trump told Ross during a game in which the Republican presidential nominee had to describe the individual on screen.

"But there's a certain something she's got," Trump continued. "She's got a spark. That's pretty amazing, actually. She's got a good spark."

The former president also claimed that he reached out to the team of Ocasio-Cortez's Democratic primary opponent, Rep. Joe Crowley, in 2018 to warn him about her candidacy, which was viewed as a longshot at the time.

"I asked his people, I said, 'Are you careful?'" Trump said.

"I watched her on television one time," Trump continued. "I saw a clip of her speaking, ranting, raving, going crazy."

"I said, 'She's Evita,'" Trump said. "Evita Perón. I said, 'She's Evita.'"

Trump appeared to be comparing Ocasio-Cortez to Eva Perón, also known as Evita, who was a beloved former Argentine first lady and political figure during the 1940s and early 1950s.

"She's in the streets screaming, shouting, going crazy, hugging people, hugging," the Republican nominee said about Ocasio-Cortez. "Everybody's being hugged."

"And she took him out," Trump concluded. "So, I give her credit."

"She's got a lot of sizzle," Trump said.
