During a rally in Miami, Florida alongside Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) slams Democrats as "radical left-wing lunatics, laptop liberals, and Marxist misfits."
The Republican Senator goes on to say: “The Democratic party. And I say this with sadness, a little bit of sadness, not a lot of sadness, it's sadness. The Democratic party has been taken over by radical left wing lunatics, laptop liberals, and Marxist Misfits. Those are the people that have taken over that party. I wish this country had two normal political parties, so we can debate, should the taxes be 18 percent or 19 percent, but that's not what we debate anymore. We debate crazy things, insanity.
Republican Senator Rubio will face Val Demings, who won Florida's Democratic nomination for Senate, in the November general election. Demings later that evening expressed during her victory speech that she dreams of an “America where we protect constitutional rights.”
