"Everything will be revealed": Trump signs order to declassify files on JFK, RFK, and MLK Jr. assassinations.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday that declassified government files on the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"That's a big one, huh?" Trump said before the signed the executive order in the Oval Office."A lot of people are waiting for this for a long — for years," the president added. "For decades."

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump promised to declassify any remaining government documents on the assassination of JFK. Trump vowed to similarly release the documents during his first term but opted to not follow through on that promise due to potential intelligence issues.

"And everything will be revealed," the 47th president said, as he signed the executive order.

"Give that to RFK Jr.," Trump instructed White House Staff Secretary Will Scharf, as the president handed off the pen he used to sign the order that declassified files relating to the assassination of Kennedy's father.
