2022 NCAA March Madness Tournament: Make Your Picks

March Madness is upon us, as the NCAA college basketball tournaments begin this week with “First Four” games on both the men’s and women’s sides of the sport.

This year’s competition is full of big stories. Coach K will be retiring after Duke’s last game; most of the NBA’s projected top draft picks will be playing for the first time in a while; and both tournaments are wide open, with many teams having serious shots at winning a title.

LZ and Will marvel at the popularity of the event. An estimated 45 million people will bet on the tournaments this year — and they could wager a total of $3.1 billion, even though few of them watched any college basketball during the regular season.

Your two favorite podcast hosts are getting in on the action, too, by filling out their own brackets. Join them (and beat them?) in “The Long Game-Leitch Newsletter NCAA Basketball Tournament Pool.”
