Comedian Steve Harvey took a dig at former president Donald Trump's conviction in a chat Friday with Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris spoke with Harvey at the 100 Black Men of America conference in Atlanta, Georgia, touting the Biden administration’s economic policies, including lifting a prohibition on people with a criminal record from applying for Small Business Administration loans, as Biden runs for reelection.
“We have finally gotten rid of the prohibition on people with a criminal record being able to apply for SBA loans. We just got rid of that. So now, for those who are formerly incarcerated, or who have a conviction for a crime, that will no longer prohibit people from being eligible for small business loans,” Harris said. “Help me get the word out. That's why I'm here.”
“Well, that's good, because you might as well be able to get a small business loan, because you can be president, too, with a criminal record,” Harvey said. “So, that's a nice exchange."
