"Well": Biden comments on his health as he returns to the White House post-COVID and after exiting the 2024 race.

President Joe Biden returned to the White House on Tuesday after he recovered from COVID-19 and exited the 2024 race.

Reporters asked Biden questions about his health, dropping out of the presidential race, and his thoughts on Kamala Harris' presidential campaign as he boarded Air Force One in Delaware — his first appearance since he ended his campaign and endorsed his vice president to succeed him.

"How are you feeling?" one reporter asked.

"Well," Biden responded.

The president tested negative for the coronavirus Tuesday after he had tested positive last Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nevada. He had spent most of the last week isolating in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

On Sunday, he gave in to mounting pressure from Democratic allies and lawmakers to step aside following his underwhelming performance during the CNN debate in June.

In less than 48 hours, Harris shored up the support needed to effectively take over as the likely Democratic nominee; on Monday night, she won enough verbal commitments from delegates to become the official nominee at the Democratic National Convention next month in Chicago.
