"VP Harris to the Walz!" Lil Jon joins the DNC roll call for Georgia.

Lil Jon went to the “Walz” Tuesday night at DNC Night 2, joining the ceremonial roll call for Georgia.

"YEAAAAAAAAAH!" the Atlanta native said, serenading the Democratic National Convention with his iconic line before Georgia's delegates announced the state's votes went to Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are here tonight to officially nominate Kamala Harris for president! Fire up that loud! Another round of shots. DNC! Turn down for what?” Lil Jon said as his and DJ Snake’s hit song “Turn Down for What” played at the United Center in Chicago.

“Hey, everybody get your hands up! Hey, everybody get your hands up! Hey, everybody get your hands up! Now, say: We're not going back! We're not going back! We're not going back!” he said as he joined the Georgia delegation on the floor, repeating one of the Harris campaign’s slogans. “VP Harris! Gov. Walz!”

While the parties can inject some personality during the ceremonial roll calls, they usually are tepid affairs. But in addition to the rapper’s surprise appearance, the Democratic Party used plenty of music to hype up its 2024 edition. The party brought in DJ Cassidy to pump up the crowd and spin a song specific for each state and territory as they awarded their delegates to Harris during the roll call. Among the songs: Detroit legend Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” for Michigan, Dropkick Murphys’ “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” for Massachusetts, Tupac Shakur’s “California Love” for California, and Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow,” for Philadelphia.
