Trump just can't quit Biden

Donald Trump could not stop mentioning President Joe Biden during his ABC News debate with Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

While Trump shared the stage with the vice president, Trump mentioned Biden directly by name at least 14 times, per ABC News' official transcript. The former president also referenced Biden as Harris' "boss" at least four times.

Biden dropped out of the presidential race in July, following a poor debate performance the previous month. He faced a pressure campaign from members of his own party to step down as the candidate.

A few of Trump's attacks on Biden during the debate veered away from his administration's record but toward, for example, a question on climate change that morphed into an attack on the president's son Hunter Biden.

"[Harris] is Biden. She's trying to get away from Biden," Trump said during a response.

The remark prompted Harris to say, "Clearly, I am not Joe Biden, and I am certainly not Donald Trump."
