Stacey Abrams: “Between the 6-week abortion ban … the rise in gun violence … we know that we must take action.”

Following the closure of an Atlanta Medical Center, gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams: “Between the 6-week abortion ban … the rise in gun violence … we know that we must take action,” calls out Governor Brian Kemp and his failings in providing necessary medical care.

“What we cannot afford is four more years of a Governor who refuses to see what is in front of him and do something about it. My plan will reinvest in our state's Public Health infrastructure grow our network of community health workers, make certain that we are addressing in a systemic and long-term fashion the challenge of being number one in maternal mortality, recognizing that the layered failures of this Governor are going to be visited upon our healthcare system, between the six week abortion ban that's going to make having doulas and having more women who need access to reproductive care, the rise in gun violence under his leadership that's going to make trauma more and more real in the state of Georgia, we know that we must take action.”
