Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said he thinks the outcome of the Senate in November is "jump ball." The 2022 midterms will be extremely influential into which party controls the House and the Senate. Due to the polarization of the political parties and the unlikelihood of cooperation between the political parties, who controls Congress is extremely important to the overall functioning and political direction of the United States government.
REPORTER: “You said last month that you think the house is more likely to flip than the Senate. As we head in the final stretch of the campaign season, is that still your view?”
MCCONNELL: “Well, I've consistently said for two years now that the Senate is 50/50. The country is 50/50 and I think the outcome for the Senate is likely to be 50/50. We've got a bunch of hard-fought races and we're all giving it our best on both sides and I think it's a jump ball.”
