“Remember that little problem with the Obama admin?”: Biden, when asked about his legacy for LGBTQ Americans.

Politicos are speculating that Joe Biden may have been throwing a little shade at Barack Obama while speaking to the press pool upon returning to the White House from Texas around 1:20 a.m. yesterday morning.

The president was asked by a reporter on the South Lawn about his “legacy for LGBTQ Americans.”

“I’m very proud of my position. I was the first guy that came out for gay marriage,” Biden responded. “Remember that little problem with the Obama administration?”

Biden is referring to the time in 2012 when he, as vice president, went off-script and said on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that he supported same-sex marriage.

This famously caught Obama off guard and forced the then-president’s hand on the issue. Obama publicly adopted the same policy position just days later.

Obama is believed to have been central in orchestrating a party-wide pressure campaign on Biden to drop his reelection bid following his poor debate performance last month.
