President Joe Biden discussed how his administration tackled inflation and the measures they took to take the U.S. economy forward while speaking at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House complex, today.

The president blamed the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as the troubling factors that affected the economy.

He stated that his government’s “simple” plan is to lower the “everyday cost for hardworking Americans and lower the deficit by asking large corporations and the wealthiest Americans to not engage in price gouging and to pay their fair share in taxes”.

Biden spent a significant time attacking the “MAGA Republicans” and their policies that would impact the economy if the Republicans win the midterm elections. He claimed that the present Republican party was not the same as the older one.

“If we're going to have to vote on whether you will have Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and what amounts you'll have in each of those programs, you know what they're likely to do, use them as hostages every five years to get their way and other things - think about it,” Biden said.
