Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn on Friday said Justin Mohn — the Pennsylvania man who held up the severed head of his father in a right-wing, conspiracy-filled YouTube video — shot his dad.
“It was determined that Michael Mohn suffered a gunshot wound to his head, and then was subsequently dismembered, and that the mechanism was the use of a knife to sever limbs and tendons, and then ultimately a machete to sever his spinal column,” Schorn said.
Police arrested Justin Mohn at Fort Indiantown Gap, a National Guard training center, where investigators said he was attempting to “mobilize the PA National Guard to raise arms against the federal government.” He also stated that he wanted to speak to Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) to “join forces.”
Schorn also said Mohn purchased the gun he used in the killing the day before.
“They identified the fact that the defendant purchased a firearm the day before murdering his father,” Schorn said. “The defendant had a loaded SIG Sauer 9mm handgun on him, and it was loaded, as mentioned, missing one round.”
