"Our patriotism is more than some damn slogan on a hat": Rep. Maxwell Frost slams Trump's patriotism at the DNC.

Rep. Maxwell Frost on Thursday slammed Donald Trump's patriotism in his remarks during the final night at the Democratic National Convention.

"Fighting the climate crisis is patriotic. And unlike Donald Trump, our patriotism is more than some damn slogan on a hat — it's about actually giving a damn about the people who live in this country," the Florida congressman said.

Frost in 2022, at the age of 25, was the first member of Gen Z to be elected to the House of Representatives.

In his speech on the DNC convention stage, Frost focused his remarks on climate change, drawing from his experiences in Florida, saying that the climate crisis "isn't some far off threat."

"Because when you love somebody, you want them to have clean air," Frost continued. "When you love somebody, you want them to have safe drinking water."

"When you love somebody, you want them to have a dignified job," Frost said.
