Oprah Winfrey on Wednesday at the DNC took swipe at JD Vance over his "childless cat ladies" comments.
"We are not so different from our neighbors when a house is on fire," Winfrey said from the convention stage.
"When a house is on fire, we don't ask about the homeowner's race or religion," Oprah continued. "We don't wonder who their partner is or how they voted. No! We just try to do the best we can to save them."
"And if the place happens to belong to a childless cat lady," Winfrey continued. "Well, we try to get that cat out, too."
Winfrey's remarks appear to target Vance's 2021 comments on Fox News, where he said the country was being run by Democrats and others who are "childless cat ladies." Winfrey has openly spoken about her decision to not have children.
The GOP vice presidential candidate's resurfaced comments have sparked criticism on the campaign trail.
“Obviously, it was a sarcastic comment. I’ve got nothing against cats,” Vance said, responding the outrage of his comments on the SiriusXM radio program “The Megyn Kelly Show."
