ABC News debate moderator Linsey Davis fact-checked Donald Trump's false claims about abortions during his presidential debate with Kamala Harris on Tuesday.
"They have abortion in the ninth month," Trump started. "But the [West Virginia] governor before, he said, 'The baby will be born and we will decide what to do with the baby.' In other words, we'll execute the baby."
Trump continued to falsely claim that Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, was fine with "execution after birth." Trump has repeatedly used this attack line to suggest that Democrats are "radical" on reproductive rights.
"Her vice presidential pick says abortion in the ninth month is absolutely fine," Trump added. "He also says execution after birth — it's execution, no longer abortion, because the baby is born — is okay. And that's not okay with me."
"There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it's born," Davis said after Trump's answer.
