Tim Walz broke down "80-year-old angry narcissist" Donald Trump's presidential debate performance on MSNBC on Tuesday night.
"You saw a nearly 80-year-old angry narcissist continue to veer off into things that in any other setting might actually be funny, but they're dangerous in this setting," the Democratic vice presidential candidate told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in an interview after the debate.
"They're dangerous because this guy anywhere near the White House is simply unacceptable," Walz added.
Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris faced off in an over 90-minute debate on ABC News on Tuesday night. The debate marked the first time they met each other.
Several media outlets and commentators, including Republicans, noted that Harris seemed to rattle the former president during the debate. The vice president appeared to successfully bait and needle Trump to repeatedly veer off message during his responses. Many GOP lawmakers have criticized ABC News for unfairly fact-checking Trump while giving Harris a pass.
A CNN report cited at least 30 false claims Trump made during the debate, while Harris made at least one false claim and a few misleading statements or those lacking context.
