Former First Lady Michelle Obama during the DNC on Tuesday slammed Donald Trump for his repeated comments about "Black jobs."
"I want to know, who's going to tell [Trump]," Obama asked. "Who's going to tell him that the job he's currently seeking might just be one of those 'Black jobs'?"
The former first lady clapped back against a campaign line about Black jobs that Trump has used during this election season. The former president has faced wide-ranging criticism for suggesting that migrants were taking "Black jobs" and "Hispanic jobs" from Americans. Trump has repeated the remark in rallies, interviews, and most notably, during his June CNN debate with President Joe Biden.
In her approximately 20-minute speech, Obama praised Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and also thrashed Trump — including saying that most Americans do not receive "the affirmative action of generational wealth,” a dig at Trump being born into a wealthy family.
"Look, it's his same old con," Obama continued in reference to Trump's candidacy. "His same old con."
