Comedian D.L. Hughley on Thursday roasted Donald Trump during his speech on the final night of the DNC.
"Trump is saying that Kamala isn't Black," Hughley started, referencing Trump's false suggestion that Vice President Kamala Harris "turned Black."
"I guarantee you this: Kamala's been Black a lot longer than Trump's been a Republican," Hughley continued.
Hughley, noting "broad support" for the vice president, including Republicans who back Harris, said, “I guess Donald Trump will finally know what it’s like when you get left for a younger woman."
The stand-up comedian during his remarks also publicly apologized for previously criticizing Harris' criminal justice record.
"I made assumptions about Kamala's record, and I often repeated them to a lot of people," Hughley said.
"Then one day, Kamala invited me to her house, she put her hand on my shoulder, and she asked me to do some research," Hughley continued. "Something I had never done."
“I was wrong," Hughley noted. "And I'm so very glad I was wrong because, Kamala, you give me hope for the future.”
