“Just wanted to check out my future plane”: JD Vance tries to track down Kamala Harris on Wisconsin tarmac.

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance tried to track down Democratic presidential nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris as they landed at the same Wisconsin airport Wednesday, saying that he wanted to check out his “future plane.”

Vance is essentially tailing her on the trail this week, making stops at the same locations where Harris and her newly announced running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, are campaigning.

After trying to head over to the vice president’s plane to look for her, Vance told reporters, “I just wanted to check out my future plane. But I also wanted to go say hello to the vice president and ask her why Kamala Harris refuses — why does she refuse to answer questions from the media?”

“I also thought that the press gaggle following her might get a little lonely. I at least have enough respect for you all, and for the American people you report to, to come and talk to you and to answer some questions, and so I thought her reporters might actually benefit from that as well,” Trump’s VP pick added.

“So, I had a little bit of fun,” Vance continued. “I don’t think the vice president waved at me as she drove away, but I’m glad to have done it.”
