Judge Barbara Bellis has really had enough of Alex Jones during the Sandy Hook damages trial. She reprimands Jones and his lawyer, Norman Pattis, for not following the rules and being disrespectful in court.
BELLIS: “So, here's what I’ll tell you Mr. Jones.”
JONES: “Okay. Yes ma’am.”
BELLIS: “You’re in a court of law. You have to follow the rules as the attorneys do who are officers of the court and they are accountable to me and I will deal with them. However, while there are media in the room, this is not a press conference, this is clearly not for show and you need to respect the process.”
JONES: “I understand.”
BELLIS: “Whether you like it or not, you have to follow the rules.”
JONES: “I understand, your Honor.”
BELLIS: “So just take a breath, have a little water if you need it and wait for the next question.”
PATTIS: “Wait there's another admonishment as it is.”
BELLIS: “Council. I'll see you on a sidebar. If I admonish anybody it’s going to be the both of you. Okay. You’re shouting over your client. You just have to stop. So let’s get the next question and let’s move forward.”
