"It's a no": WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre denies claims that Biden has Alzheimer's or dementia.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday denied claims that President Joe Biden has Alzheimer's disease or dementia.

"Does President Biden, at 81 years old, have Alzheimer's, any form of dementia, or degenerative illness that would cause these sorts of lapses?" a reporter asked during the White House press briefing.

"And it's a yes or no question," the reporter continued. "And if you don't know, why don't you, as one of his senior staff members, know that the answer to this?"

"I have an answer for you," the press secretary said. "Are you ready for it?"

"Yes," the reporter responded.

"It's a no," Jean-Pierre said. "And I hope you're asking the other guy, [Donald Trump], the same exact question."

Concern about the president's cognitive abilities stem from his widely-criticized performance during the CNN debate last Thursday, when at times he gave halting responses and trailed off.

During Tuesday's press briefing, Jean-Pierre faced mounting questions from reporters surrounding Biden's health, to which she continued to cite that Biden had a "bad night."
