The Recount recently traveled to Pennsylvania to talk to voters about the upcoming election — and one man said when faced with doubts about Donald Trump’s morals and “the corruption that Biden stands for,” he’s already made his choice.

“I’ll vote for Trump even though I don’t like the guy,” Wayne Batten told The Recount.

Batten struggled to find anything good to say about either candidate.

“What emotion comes to mind when you think about the choices that we have in the election?” The Recount Senior Politics Producer Steve Morris asked Batten.

“We got crap for choices,” Batten said.

Batten said while he has concerns about Trump’s morals, Biden is “too old” and “strings are being pulled by other people for him and he's corrupt.”

Batten said he voted in the 2020 presidential election and plans to cast his ballot again this November.

His sentiments underscores the competitive nature of the swing state: In 2020, Joe Biden won Pennsylvania over Trump by about 80,000 votes — just barely more than 1 percentage point — to flip the state that Trump won in 2016. RealClearPolitics’ latest polling average for Pennsylvania has Biden up by less than 1 percentage point.
