Vice President Kamala Harris taunted Donald Trump on Tuesday as he refuses to commit to a previously scheduled debate.
"Well, Donald, I do hope you'll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage," Harris said during a campaign rally held in Atlanta. "Because as the saying goes, if you've got something to say, say it to my face."
The challenge to the former president and Republican nominee came as the Trump campaign would not commit to a debate with Harris, despite previously agreeing to a September 10 debate with President Joe Biden before he exited the race.
The Trump campaign noted that it would not solidify its participation "until Democrats formally decide on their nominee."
Trump told Fox News' Laura Ingraham in an interview, which aired Monday, that he will "probably" end up debating Harris, but he can "also make the make a case for not doing it."
The Trump campaign's lack of commitment to the debate date has prompted attacks from Harris' team that Trump is "scared" to face the vice president.
