Houston police official: AR-15 used by Joel Osteen megachurch shooting suspect had “Palestine” sticker on it.

The AR-15 used by the shooting suspect at a Joel Osteen megachurch had a “Palestine” sticker on it, Houston police officials said Monday.

Police said the suspect, who authorities identified as 36-year-old Genesse Ivonne Moreno, who opened fire Sunday afternoon at the popular Texas church, utilized “an Anderson manufacturing AR-15.”

“There was a sticker on the buttstock of the rifle that stated ‘Palestine,’” said Chris Hassig, the commander of the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division.

Hassig said Moreno also had “a .22 caliber rifle by Blue Line Solutions” in her possession, but she “did not fire that weapon.”

“We do have some antisemitic writings that we have uncovered during this process,” Hassig also said during the news conference.

“But we do want to stress that she acted alone,” Hassig said. “We do believe this was what we term ‘a lone wolf’ — lone suspect situation. We do not believe this is part of a larger nexus.”
