In front of the Southeast Family Health Center and a crowd House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke on Pat Ryan (D) winning the special election in Hudson Valley (NY-19). She was excited to say: “I get one more vote.”
Pelosi on Democratic Congressman-Elect Pat Ryan from Hudson Valley: We had a big victory last night. Many people were stunned by the fact that in a district that was not supposed to go Democratic, it did turn out to be Democratic. I give credit to our candidate Pat Ryan, excellent veteran that served in the Iraq War, a longtime passionate public servant, a successful small business person. He is bringing so much to his candidacy including strong leadership, and will bring so much to the United States Congress very soon because he has won the special election. The best part is that I get one more vote.
