House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy challenges President Biden to “go across the country” to debate over policies.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy challenged President Biden to “go across the country” to debate over policies. The Minority Leader was speaking at a rally in a suburb of Pittsburg held by the GOP to unveil their legislative roadmap ahead of the midterms. The plan, titled “Commitment to America” echoes the Republican plan of a similar name “Contract with America” that was introduced by Newt Gingrich in 1994. The plan has 4 pillars of focus: economy, safety, freedom, and government accountability. The agenda is designed to show what the political agenda would be for the House Republicans if they were to regain control of the House in November. Many members of the House GOP were present at the rally in suburban Pittsburg.

MCCARTHY: “I challenge the President to join with us. Let's go across the country and let’s debate what his policies have done to America and our plan for a new direction. And let’s let America make the decision for the best way for this country to go forward.”
