Florida governor Ron DeSantis told a crowd that it’s wrong to teach children that they may have been born in the wrong body. Governor DeSantis was speaking to a gathering of supporters of would-be New York governor Lee Zeldin in Long Island. Florida leapfrogged New York to become the nation’s third largest state in 2014.
DESANTIS: It is wrong to teach these young kids that are gender is a choice or that they may have been born in the wrong body. We're putting, we've drawn a line in the sand on that in the State of Florida, but I can tell you, you're seeing it all across the rest of the country and the media didn't like when we did that, the left didn’t like when we did that, we even had a big company that you may have heard of in central Florida – Disney – that came out and tried to fight the bill.
