Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican from Florida, goes after the media at a briefing on Hurricane Ian recovery efforts.
DESANTIS: “When I became governor, it was right on the heels of Hurricane Michael that had hit Northwest Florida and these things fade from the headlines, very quickly. The cameras leave very quickly. They’re there, obviously there's some media that only goes there because they try to use that for an agenda and we know who they are, but the end of the day is, at the end of the day is there's going to be other things that are going to happen. There's going to be things. And what I told the folks in Northwest Florida when I became Governor is, I understand this is a still very real even months after it happened and there's going to be a lot of TLC that's going to need to go in to getting the communities back on their feet.”
