Former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified that Meadows told her Trump knew he lost. This reveal came during the supposedly final January 6th Committee hearing investigation into what occurred on January 6th, 2021 when an armed coup attacked the Capitol to try to stop the peaceful transfer of power. Former President Donald Trump and his allies have continued to perpetuate the “Big Lie.” The Committee has said they it may decide to make a series of criminal referrals to the Department of Justice.
HUTCHINSON: “I remember looking at Mark and said “Mark, you can't possibly think we're going to pull this off, that call was crazy.” And he looked to me and just started shaking his head and he was like “No Cass, you know he knows it's over, he knows he lost, but we're going to keep trying, there's some good options out there still, we're going to keep trying.”
